Genesis Culture will be featured in KL Design Week 2009 as one of the local Independent Designer Groups.
Day One
1:06 PM
Response is good. Lots of people walking in asking lots of questions. Manage to sell 5 pieces in 1 hour. If this keeps up we'd be out of stock VERY soon.
1:25PM
Whoa, carnival suddenly gone empty. Where's the people? Ah wait, it's lunch time. No wonder.
2.30PM
Sudden burst of crowd again. Good times!
3.20PM
Blogging from Starbucks in Cap Square. Earth Hour 2009 is making a huge scene, saving earth from itself. Tonight 8pm, all lights will go off. Can't wait for the moment of truth!
8.29PM
EARTH HOUR!!!! *power off*
9.30PM
That was fun. Crowd from earth hour are spilling into the mall and into our exhibit. Everybody's tired as hell and most of us are close to losing our voice.
10.30PM
Finally, end of first day. Sold 4% of stock. Not bad for the first day.
Day Two
6.30PM
Finally got internet back up. Sales is slow today. No earth hour to drive crowd in, but at least traffic is still good. Sold a couple of pieces. Would be hard to emulate yesterday's performance.
10.30PM
Packing up now. Lack of internet connection is really obstructing my efforts in live blogging. Sorry everybody! Anyway, sales is alright today. More inquiries about our business model than sales, but that is still good. Tomorrow will definitely be much slower than today.
Day Three
2.30PM
DARN DARN DARN! Slept late! And know what? This morning 3 buses of students came into KL Design Week and we missed them! How embarassing!
4.00PM
Sold our first shirt for today! Cheers!
10.00PM
Sold only 5 shirts today, all Sinned series. Seems like today's crowd is much lesser but the conversion rate is quite high - in the 20-30% range. Hopefully this situation would improve by tomorrow!
Day Four
11.30PM
Reached early. Got first sales within an hour of setting up. Looks like a great day to come?
4.00PM
Horrible internet connection. Added designer key chains to our merchandise list. Apparently it sells much better than our t-shirts.
9.00PM
Had to leave early today due to other work concerns. See you guys tomorrow!
Day Five & Six
11.00PM
The internet monster strikes again! No internet connection for today. Sales is slow as usual, but the keychains are really selling like hot cakes. More than 60% of our sales come from the keychains! I guess price does matter?
Day Seven
10.00AM
Taylor College invades!
1.00PM
Invasion ended. Sold quite a few shirts. A happy day to come?
6.00PM
Today's our lucky day. More than 10 shirts sold and about 20+ keychains gone out in just half a day. That is amazing!
8.00PM
I guess the stress of runningt his event is getting to the heads of our founders. Jason just made himself a paperbag and is wearing it for no reasons at all. And Andrew is banging his head on the corner while I'm facepalming myself every 3 seconds at their antics.
9.00PM
Pictures say it better.
