Azari Mat Yasir holds a Diploma and Bachelor of Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, and a Masters of Science in Virtual Environment from The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. Currently attached to UTM Skudai as a lecturer of Architecture, he enjoys drawing comic as a past time.
His past works are: "Matrigal" - a 10-page comic for Pergh.com; "Siege Ends" - a HP/AMD Coffee Table booklet for Comic Fiesta 2008; "Sabariah Tukang Sihir" - a 6-page comic for WOW! Pekomik Magazine; and "Corporate Battle Arena" for Majalah Akitek 2001; among his various other works.
He is mainly influenced by Joe Quesada (current Marvel Editor-in-chief) and Katsuhiro Otoma (Akira), whose style had greatly influenced his own personal style. Other influences include Adam Hughes, Aadi Salman, Kromosom, Jim Lee, David Mack, Masamune Shirow and Mike Mignola, amongst others.
